BIO:

Ms. Paula Purdy has worked for the Medical Society of Metropolitan Portland for 23 years, the last 21 years as the Manager of Staffing Services. Ms. Purdy has been actively involved with the healthcare community serving on several advisory boards for medical assisting, and has held the office of president for the Oregon Society of Medical Assistants organization three times. She currently is the resource when it comes to providing information about scope of practice for medical assistants. Ms. Purdy is a Certified Medical Assistant through the American Association of Medical Assistants.  She has also held the certification for managing a staffing service at a time when the State of Oregon was certifying employment services. 

And, she secretly always wanted to be a stand-up comedian.
